The property in these databases was acquired by the U.S. Small Business Administration in
administering its loan program and is available for purchase by the public. The property ranges
from real estate - commercial property, single family homes, vacant land, and farms - to personal
property such as machinery, equipment, furniture, fixtures, and inventory that came from a wide
variety of business operations.

Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. The FDIC is the independent deposit insurance agency created
by Congress to maintain stability and public confidence in the nation's banking system. Here you
will find a databank of individual banking office deposits by geographic area for FDIC-Insured
Commercial and Savings banks. Also, the FDIC's Survey of Real Estate Trends is available and
information on asset sales, bulk portfolio sales and a calendar of events.
RealtyTrac Information Systems a foreclosure listing service offering daily updated information
on Notices of Default, Trustee Sales and REO. At the time this link was set up, the service
provided data only on California properties

Freddie Mac is a shareholder-owned corporation created by Congress in 1970 to support
homeownership and rental housing. The corporation purchases mortgages made by lenders

nonperforming portfolios from other lenders then markets the REO.
Veterans Administration A list of the 46 VA Regional Offices with Loan Guaranty Activities.
These offices are responsible for disposing of VA acquired properties in their respective area.
Methods of advertising and reporting properties differ so contact the respective office in the area
of interest.
Other Sites Selling Institutionally Owned Assets
First Union Corp. View current available commercial properties from First Union's Corporate
Real Estate Division. These are typically bank branches either for sale of lease. The list is updated
monthly and includes assets in several states.
